youth guide development program
mytown's Youth Guide Development Program equips urban teenagers with the skills and knowledge that they need to be engaged, successful community members. Boston high school students are hired as Youth Guides to participate in an intensive training and employment opportunity that builds essential leadership, communication, work readiness, cultural competence, and critical thinking skills. Youth Guides research their local and personal history and then teach what they have learned to the public by developing and leading tours and presentations.
